Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between self acceptance with future anxiety among physical disabilities. The hyphotesis of the study is that there is relationship between self acceptance with future anxiety among physical disabilities. The population of the research was physical disabilities in Palembang. The sample was 100 respondents and try out sample was 30 respondents. This study used purposive sampling. Study measurement instruments used future anxiety scale based on the sympthoms of anxiety stated by Nevid, Rathus, and Greene (2005), and the self acceptance scale refering to aspects of self acceptance by Jersild (1960). This study used Pearson’s Product Moment correlation to analyze the data. The result showed that there is significant relationship between future anxiety and self acceptance as proven by p-value = 0,000 (p<0,05 ; r= -0,621). Therefore, the proposed hypothesis is acceptable.
