Abstract

The increase of population in Indonesia, particularly in the city of Palembang, caused increase in the amount of solid waste generated. It must be supported by waste management infrastructure so that there will be no accumulation of trash. The cause of the condition of the buildup of waste in some areas after execution schedule of ffeight every day is the limited availability of TPS and the need for a means of collecting and transporting waste in West Rir District I. The purpose of this study was to calculate the number of polling stations today, planning transport and route pattems and needs of facilities and garbage collectors in the District of West Ilir I. TPS planned and purpose for collecting and transporting waste is expected to reduce the waste that is West Ilir District I. Waste transportation pattems using SCS systems (Stationary Container System) is a system of containers remained.
