Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the improvement of speaking ability through audio visual snakes and ladders game tools for children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Pelangi Palembang. The benefits of this research provide knowledge to children related to language development, especially speaking ability. The research method used is classroom action research using the Kemmis and MC Taggart model each cycle includes: planning stage, action stage, observation stage and reflection stage. The sample studied was 10 children. The data collection technique is observation using a checklist sheet. Based on the results of data analysis of speaking ability there are: in the pre-cycle 1 child with BSH category (10%), cycle I as many as 2 children with BSH category (20%) and cycle II as many as 8 children with BSH category (80%). It can be said that there is an increase in speaking ability, from cycle I to cycle II as many as 6 children in the BSH category (60%), the conclusion is that the audio-visual snakes and ladders game can improve speaking ability. For this reason, it is recommended that teachers can apply audio visual snakes and ladders games in learning.
