Abstract

This study discusses the Institutional Strengthening of Village Consultative Bodies (BPD) in the implementation of Musrenbangdes in the Independent Integrated City of Sungai Rambutan Ogan Ilir Village, which was then analyzed using the theory of Institutional Strengthening according to Deborah Eade (1998), namely, Organization, Human Resources, Finance, Infrastructure, and Cooperation. The research method used is qualitative research that is descriptive. The data sources used are primary data and also secondary data. For data collection, namely through interviews, observation, documentation, and also literature studies. The results of this study show that the Sungai Rambutan Village Consultative Body has not been optimal enough in its work on the implementation of Musrenbangdes. It is known that there is still no maximum of BPD Sungai Rambutan members in attendance at meetings / meetings held, there is no means of improving self-quality received, to the lack of infrastructure for BPD Sungai Rambutan which will certainly affect the implementation of Musrenbangdes and other activities managed by BPD. Therefore, institutional strengthening is needed for BPD Sungai Rambutan to be more qualified in its quality so that effectiveness in carrying out its duties can be achieved, one of which is the implementation of Village Development Planning Deliberation.
