Abstract
A huilding at least should be able to bear the loads which work on the structure . Some lateral loads such as wind loads and seismic loads that can cause lateral deflection and gravity loads including dead load and live load. The higher the building means that the greater lateral deflection occurs on the top. As Structure Engingeer planners are required to better understand the design of earthquake resistant slructures that are not just simply following in designing the building, and must comply with the “Tata Cara Perencanaan Ketahanan Gempa Untuk Bangunan Gedung” which has goal as for earthquake resistance of building slructures that are planned to have function as proper in designing a building structure must be considered rigidity, stability of the structure withstand any loading imposed on them and how the behavior of the structure to withstand such loads. ETABS is a 3D Extended program of Building Systems of Computer and Structure inc that use the Windows as operaling system . The use of simulation program ETABS shows when the system is collapse, so it can become an input t o plan and construct the better high-rise buildings. This reaserch will compare the horizontal deflection obtained from the comparison position and shape shear walls . The results from this research is a comparison of deflection that occurs, a review of serthe limits of serviceability and ultimate limit each building models to be compared.
