Abstract
With the increasing human population cause a lot of usage the products made of plastic. Among to reduce the accumulation of plastic waste is by recycling plastic waste properly, one of which is by doing the sorting stage. This study aims to create a system of identification and classification of plastic bottles based on the type. The Random Forest method is used to simplify the process of sorting plastic bottle waste by type. Plastic bottle waste in this study uses PET/PETE and PP types. The total plastic bottle waste used was 210 samples with 102 samples of PET/PETE plastic bottle waste and 108 samples of PP plastic bottle waste. The number of trees used in this research is 6 trees arranged as a random forest, while the sample used as test data is taken as much as 30%. The number of trees taken as much as 6 has an error percentage of 10%.
