Abstract
The process of making zirconium phosphide catalysts was carried out using various methods, such as the ZrP-SiO2 method, ZrP-SiO2 with KHFthalat template, ZrP-SiO2 with KHFthalat chelate. The purpose of this study was to apply the ZrP-SiO2 catalyst using templates and KHFthalate chelate in the hydrocracking process in the conversion of CPO to biogasoline and bioavtur, and to characterize the catalyst using X-ray Difraction (XRD), Fourrier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and acidity tests. The performance of the catalyst was shown in the process of hydrocracking CPO into biogasoline and bioavtur as measured using GCMS. The results of the analysis using GCMS on the ZrP-SiO2 catalyst had the highest yield of 97.27%. The highest selectivity for conversion of CPO to biogasoline was on the ZrP-SiO2 catalyst with the KHFthalate template of 49.33% and the highest bioavtur on the ZrP-SiO2 catalyst was 68.09%. The results of the XRD characterization are shown with an angle of 2θ and it is known that the catalyst peaks in the ZrP-SiO2 sample at an angle of 22.19°, ZrP-SiO2 with KHFthalate template with an angle of 21.86° and ZrP-SiO2 with KHFthalate chelate at an angle of 24.81°. The results of the FTIR spectra showed differences in the acidity of the catalyst before and after pyridine absorption. The results of the acidity analysis using ammonia showed that the ZrP-SiO2 catalyst had a high total acidity value of 1.0352 mmol/g and for acidity analysis using pyridine the highest was the ZrP-SiO2 catalyst with KHFthalat chelate of 0.7454 mmol/g.
