Abstract
Work-related stress is a psychosocial hazard which is one of the most challenging problems to be studied more deeply in the world of occupational safety and health. Work stress affects not only the health of individual workers but also has a major effect on the continuity of the organization and national economy. Job stress that is ignored and not handled properly will have negative impact on the physical and psychological health of workers and can cause losses to the company due to decreased employee productivity. This study aims to determine the risk factors for work stress on employees of PT. Asia Surya Perkasa (Honda) in Pangkalpinang City. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design involving 119 samples taken in total sampling according to the eligibility criteria and carried out in December 2022 - January 2023. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between job demands (p-value 0.026) and interpersonal relationship (p-value 0.01) with work stress at PT. Asia Surya Perkasa (Honda) in Pangkalpinang City. Multivariate analysis showed that the most dominant risk factor influencing work stress was interpersonal relationships with a p-value of 0.004 (OR (Exp.B) 0.029; 95% CI 0.003-0.331). Interpersonal relationships are the dominant risk factor for work stress on employees of PT. Asia Surya Perkasa (Honda) in Pangkalpinang City. It is necessary to provide counseling services for employees so that they can convey problems or obstacles while working and hold gatherings to improve interpersonal relations among fellow employees.
