Abstract

Indonesia is the fifth ranked with the highest stunting incidence in the world in 2018. South Sumatra recorded 31.7% stunting under five in 2018. In Rambang District, Muara Enim Regency had a high prevalence of stunting in 2021, which was recorded at 18.86%, increasing again in 2018. 2022 after conducting data validity in October it reached a figure of 20.06%. This type of research is quantitative research with a case control research design. The variabels used in this study are celan water sources, trash cans, latrines, sewerage, behavior of residents and disease vector carrier animals. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between basic household sanitation and the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the working area of the Sugih Waras Health Center. The sample in this study were 108 toddlers with a ratio of 1:1. The results of the multivariate analysis showed that the OR value for the clean water facility variable was 0.149 and the SPAL variable was 0.251. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between basic household sanitation and the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the working area of the Sugih Waras Health Center, Rambang District. Suggestions to all health workers are expected to further improve routine monitoring of the development of toddlers who have entered the criteria for stunting and how to control it.
