Abstract

This development research aims to (1) describe the results of the analysis of the needs of students and teachers of class XI SMA IT Raudhatul Ulum on learning media using prezi in learning to write procedural texts, (2) describe the results of prototypes/designs of learning media using prezi in learning to write procedural texts, (3) describe the results of expert validation of learning media using prezi in learning to write procedural texts for class XI SMA IT Raudhatul Ulum students. The type of research used in this research and development (R&D). the development model used in this study is the Alessi and Trollip development model which consists of 3 stages, namely the planning stage, and the development stage. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, questionnaires, and validation tests. This learning media using prezi was developed based on the results of an analysis of the needs of students and teachers at SMA IT Raudhatul Ulum. Expert validation is carried out with 3 aspects, namely media, material, and language aspects. The assessment of the validation of the media aspect is in the very valid category, the validation of the material aspect is in the valid category, and the assessement of the language aspect is in the very valid category. Based on the validation of the three experts, it can be concluded that learning media using prezi in learning to write procedural texts for class XI SMA IT Raudhatul Ulum is stated to be very suitable for use in learning activities.
