Abstract
Chlorophyll-a content in sea water is influenced by hidrology factors such as temperature, salinity, pH, DO, brightness, flow velocity, nitrat and phosphate. The aim of the study was see thephytoplankton chlorophyll content and distribution in sea water in influenced by hydrology and to knowfactors area to influence phytoplankton chlorophyll content. The research has been done on April 2011inSungsang, South Sumatra. The sampling was done through purposive sampling method with 10 stasions. Measurement of chemical physical parameters was done by in situ. The measuring of phytoplanktonchlorophyll, nitrat and phosphate was done by using method of spectrophotometry. Regression analysiswas applied to see the relasion between hidrology factors add chlorophyll content. Environment parameter which was measured are temperature, salinitas, pH, Dissolved oxygen (DO), brightness, flowvelocity, nitrat and fosfat contents. The result showed that chlorophyll content between 5,10 –6,32mg/m3 avarages 5,355 mg/m3. The result in general showed of chlorophyll content found at stasions nearto continent. The result of analysis multiple regression showed that influence parameters waters withcontent phytoplankton chlorophyll is 12,30% to show low connection.
