Abstract

The title of the research is the Ikan Mabok in Historical and Cultural Perspectives in the Village of Penandingan, Sungai Pinang District, Ogan Ilir Regency Years 2005-2022. The Ikan Mabok Tradition is a tradition that is carried out together with the same goal of catching fish. The research method used by researchers is qualitative which describes directly the Ikan Mabok Tradition. Data collection is done by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. This research is aimed at describing the implementation process and the meaning of the Ikan Mabok Tradition in a Historical and Cultural Perspective in the Village of Penyandingan, Sungai Pinang District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The final results show that the implementation of the tradition is carried out on the Ogan River and has a very important meaning in the form of religious, social and economic values.
