Abstract
The objective of this study was to know the growth and yield of shallot because of application of soil and organic fertilizer mixtures. This research was conducted from August until December 2017 at Experimental Station of Agicultural Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The design used was Randomized Completely Block Design with 11 treatments and 3 replications with 5 plants per treatment and total plants were 165 plants . The treatments of soil and organic fertilizer mixture were P0 : top soil (control), P1 : soil + chicken manure (2:1), P2 : soil + cow manure (2:1), P3 : soil + compost of empty palm bunches (2:1), P4 : soil + chicken manure (3:1), P5 : soil + cow manure (3:1), P6 : soil + compost of empty palm bunches (3:1), P7 : soil + chicken manure + compost of empty palm bunches (2:1:1), P8 : soil + cow manure + compost of empty palm bunches (2:1:1), P9 : soil + chicken manure + compost of empty palm bunches (3:1:1), P10 : soil + cow manure + compost of empty palm bunches (3:1:1). The results showed that application of soil and organic fertilizer mixtures of P4 treatment can improve plant height and number of leaves. The treatment of P8 gave the best result on fresh weight and dry weight of tuber.
