Abstract

The loading and unloading work is one of the activities carried out in almost every port. The loading and unloading work has a fairly high level of risk. The risk is high enough on loading and unloading done at TKBM (workforce loading and unloading) Boombaru port of Palembang where in this activity receive or send goods to a certain area. Due to the high risk of work, risk assessment of loading and unloading activities is carried out. This study used qualitative research designs, using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for risk identification, AS / NZ 4360: 1999 semicantative risk assessment tables for Cross risk analysis and cross-sectional risk level (1988) for risk evaluation. The results of risk identification indicate that 31 risks were found in the stevedoring activity and 9 risk on delivery activity. The risk results indicate 1 risk with very high risk level, 3 risks with priority risk level 1, 7 risk with substantial risk level, 11 risks with priority risk level 3, and 9 risk with acceptable risk level on stevedoring activity, and 3 risks with very high risk level, 2 risks with substantial risk level, and 4 risks with acceptable risk level on delivery. The suggestion of this research should be that all activities in the field are conducted in accordance with the prevailing regulations and supervision to ensure the application of regulations.
