Abstract
Hospitals produce wastewater which can give the negative impact such as disruption to health, life and disruption of view and biotic’s life, so it should be treated before it is discharged into the environment. This study aims to analysis management of wastewater using systems approach which input (policies, human resources, facilities, and funding), processes (planning, organizing, operational techniques, and supervision), and the output of effluent quality. This research is qualitative descriptive approach. The research used the methode of in-depth interviews, observations, review of documents, and laboratory testing. Analysis was done by triangulation method, triangulation of sources, and triangulation of data. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique which selected seven informants. The results showed that in the input aspect is known that benchmark policies are still not updated, there is no strict punishment for violator of SOP, and there are some of the fasilities and infrastucture that still have not met the requirements, in the process aspect is known that maintenance of infrastructure is not in accordance with the planning, the delay measurement of the quality of the wastewater, and the wastewater treatment process that is not yet perfect, and in the output aspect is known that the quality of the effluent still exceeded the limit of environmental quality standards is on parameters of pH and total Choliform. It can be concluded that each component in the aspects of input, process and output are flaws or problems. Suggestions from researcher that hospital should enhancement and improvement in each component of input, process and output by means of SWOT analysis, and then perform the appropriate repair priorities.
