Abstract

Diarrhea is a disease that became a global problem with degress of morbidity and mortality in high children many countries especially developing countries. The WHO data 2017 claimed nearly 1.7 billion happened to children with diarrhea cases were arround 525.000 mortality rate under five every year. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relation between basic sanitation enviroment and the personal hygiene diarrhea in toddlers in indonesia. The data was used in study Indonesian Family Life Survey 2014. Design research used is the cross sectional were selected from as much as 4012 of under-fives who research in the above criteria. Analysis of the test data using complex sample used chi square. The research results show that proportion of diarrhea in toddlers in Indonesia is about export 16,1%. The result show theres is meaningful bivariate relations the age of toddlers p-value 0,000 (pr=1,723), sexes toddlers p-value 0,003 (PR=1,279), source of drinking water p-value 0,043 (PR=1,225), facilities disposal feces p-value 0,024 (PR=1,238), the was drainage p-value 0,020 (PR=1,223), waste management p-value 0,009 (PR=1,309), and storing food p-value 0,048 (PR=1,191) with diarrhea in toddlerss in indonesia. Variable cook drinking water had no relation that is meaningful with diarrhea in toddlers in indonesia. Basic sanitation enviroment and personal hygiene affcted the diarrhea in toddlerrs in Indonesia to is expected to the government and health agencies the conduct counsseling integrated sevice center level that contains the knowledge of the awareness of diarrhea, especially in children under five, basic sanitation environment and personal hygiene.
