Abstract

The purposes of this research are 1) to know the role of farmer groups in the Pemulutan Ulu Village Pemulutan District Ogan Ilir regency. 2) calculating the amount of income of rice farming in Pemulutan Ulu Village, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency. 3) to analyze the relationship between the role of farmer group to the income of rice farming in Pemulutan Ulu Village, Pemulutan district of Ogan Ilir Regency. 4) to describe the reasons farmers join in a group of farmers in the Pemulutan Ulu Village Pemulutan District Ogan Ilir regency Data collection was conducted in December 2017 until January 2018 at Pemulutan Ulu Village, Pemulutan district of Ogan Ilir Regency. The data collected are secondary data and primary data. The secondary data obtained from the village head office and primary data were obtained by conducting direct interviews with the sample farmers using the prepared questionnaire. The sampling method used in this study is a simple random method ( simple Rendom sampling). The result of this research are 1) the role of farmer group in Pemulutan Ulu Village which is seen from three indicators that is facilitating production activity, information provider and cooperation vehicle have medium criterion with total score of 20,20 average. 2) the average income of paddy farmers in Pemulutan Ulu Village is Rp 13,038.651,28 ha / yr. 3) based on calculations using Kolerasi Rank Spearman in the results obtained that there is a real relationship between therole of farmer groups with income in the Pemulutan Ulu Village. 4) reasons for farmers joining peasant groups with high percentages are government programs with percentage of 95 percent, in Pemulutan Ulu village there are two government programs namely Jides Program and Ubja Program
