Abstract

Nowadays, along with the advancement of the era, the need for electrical energy will always increase. In a distribution system, there is definitely no such thing as interference. The disturbance itself is a short circuit fault. The magnitude of the short circuit current is used in setting the protective relay. Therefore the authors carry out an analysis of one-phase-to-ground and phase-to-phase current disturbance analysis, then relay settings, and compare the results with data in the field. The calculation method is done by manual calculation. The magnitude of the single-phase-to-ground fault current on the transformer is 258.9417 A, then on the feeder it is 224.3006 A. Furthermore, the magnitude of the phase-to-phase fault current on the transformer is 3754.799A then for the feeder 1467.868 A. TMS setting of the overcurrent relay (OCR) on the 20 on a 20 MVA transformer on the primary side of 70 kV, which is 0.3184, while for the secondary side of 20 kV it is 0.1857 then on the 20 KV side feeder it is 0.11. Then for the TMS ground fault relay (GFR) setting on the on a 20 MVA transformer on the primary side of 70 kV is 0.4039, meanwhile for the secondary side of 20 kV it is 0.2356 then for the 20 KV loop feeder it is 0.1. There are differences, especially in ground disturbances, these differences are due to several things, such as PLN calculations, where the calculations are conditioned directly on the field.
