Abstract

Analisis kebutuhan dan pengolahan air bersih ini dilakukan di komplek Gedung kampus Inderalaya Universitas Sriwijaya. Tujuan dari analisis ini adalah untuk menghitung kebutuhan dan menghitung dimensi unit instalasi pengolahan air bersih Universitas Sriwijaya kampus Inderalaya. Data - data yang diperlukan berupa data statistik jumlah civitas akademika Universitas Sriwijaya kampus Inderalaya. Langkah perhitungan dimulai dengan menghitung jumlah kebutuhan air bersih domestik dan non domestik. Hasil analisis kebutuhan tersebut digunakan sebagai kapasitas produksi minimum dari instalasi pengolahan air bersih yang akan direncanakan. Kapasitas produksi miimum tersebut selanjutnya digunakan untuk menganalisis perencanaan dimensi instalasi pengolahan air bersih. Hasil analisis perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan air bersih di Uiversitas Sriwijaya mencapai 47 1/detik. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan tersebut, maka direncanakan pembuatan Instalasi Pengolahan Air Bersih dengan kapasitas produksi sebesar nilai debit air yang dibutuhkan. Proses pengolahan air baku menjadi air bersih harus melewati beberapa unit pengolahan yang terdiri dari proses koagulas, flokulasi, sedimentasi, filtrasi, dan desinfeksi.
