Abstract
This research was conducted to determine differences in soil chemical properties and rice production from soils managed by organic and conventional farming systems. This research uses a survey method with sampling on farmers' land that applies organic and conventional farming systems. The data obtained were analyzed using t test with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that soil chemical properties such as soil pH and soil CEC in organic and conventional farming systems did not show significant differences, while organic C, total N, P available, K-dd and Al-dd soil in organic farming systems and conventional shows significant difference. The average rice production in organic and conventional farming systems shows significant differences. The results also showed that glucose content in rice, root length, root volume and root dry weight in organic and conventional farming systems showed significant differences.
