Abstract

Fot/r intersection of Charitas Hospital is a major crossroads in Palembang City with the volume of heavy traffic vehicles including J. Sudirman Street which is part of the road segment. Fotir intersection of Charitas Hospital certainly has complex traffic problems such as traffic jams and excessive vehicle pollution. The purpose of this study is to determine the traffic performance at four intersection of Charitas Hospital with VISSIM program microsimulation and know the exhaust emission load at the intersection with Enviver program and emission load calculation method. Not onlyfor existing condilions, bu t other al/ernatives such as traffic traffic resetting, Fly Over plann/ng. and a combination of alternatives are recjuired to find out the appropriate vehicle emissions loads front those alternatives. From this research, the best alternative is the combination of altemative resetting time with Fly Over p/anning.
