Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems have many benefits for life directly or indirectly. The high dependence of coastal communities in fulfilling various economic interests causes damage to mangrove ecosystems, so that studies are needed for mangrove ecosystem conservation policies. This study aims to analyze community perceptions of Willingnes To Pay (WTP), estimate the average WTP and determine the factors that influence WTP for mangrove ecosystem conservation in Sembilang National Park and its surroundings. Determination of the number of respondents in this study using the Slovin method. The data collection method was conducted by interview using a questionnaire. The results showed that the community's perception of WTP for mangrove ecosystem preservation was that 70% of the community was willing to pay WTP. The average total value of WTP is Rp 66,000/KK. Factors that significantly affect the WTP value of respondents are education level, number of family members and income level.
