Abstract
The coal handling facility process is a stage of unloading/moving coal transported by train for the next production stage to go to the barge. Coal is unloaded and spilled into the Apron feeder, from the Apron feeder to the barge using a belt conveyor. So that the flow of the coal handling facility consists of several equipment units including apron feeders, belt conveyors, magnetic separators, crushers, stackers and also shiploaders. After calculating the aktual productivity of the coal handling facility series system, the productivity of each tool is 584.57 tons/hour (apron feeder), 451.08 tons/hour (belt conveyor), 579.36 tons/hour (double roll crusher), 610 .04 ton/hour (stacker), 766.441 ton/hour (shiploader). Productivity obtained from the coal handling facility is 451.08 tons/hour following the smallest productivity data from the coal handling facility chain system. Based on the results of observations, the failure to achieve coal receiving-unloading was caused by a lack of trains coming to the Kertapati Jetty Unit which resulted in the failure to achieve coal production to barges. Therefore, if the supply of trains coming to PT Bukit Asam Tbk Kertapati Jetty Unit is sufficient or added, production will also increase.
