Abstract

The growth and progress of a countrys economic sector, especially in developing countries, the economic sector is the focus of every country. Leading economic sector is a key to the economy of a region. Determining the leading economic sector is one way to develop the economy and manage a region in the long term. This study aims to identify leading economic sectors and analyze the effect of capital expenditure, labor, and lending on leading sectors in Lubuk Linggau City in the period 2011 – 2021. This research uses quantitative descriptive analysis data with the Location Quotient analysis technique and panel data regression analysis. The results showed that Lubuk Linggau City had 12 leading economic sectors, capital expenditures did not have a significant influence on leading economic sectors, labor and lending had a significant influence on leading economic sectors in Lubuk Linggau City for a period of 11 years. It is suggested that the government can adopt policies that are more effective in increasing economic growth, especially in optimizing leading economic sectors and workforce, as well as improving strategies in managing government spending.
