Abstract

This study entitled "the pattern of business competition between traders of crackers in the Silaberanti urban village of Palembang" This study aims to determine the form of competition that occurs between traders and the impact that occurs with the competition. The data used is primary and secondary data. The primary data in this study are the results of observations and interviews and secondary data in the form of case studies. This research uses descriptive qualitative method which describes the pattern of competition between crackers traders with the analysis unit of crackers traders from Silaberanti village with three key informants. The collected data is then analyzed by data triangulation techniques. Research uses the concept of compel it ion George Simmel where the competition is an indirect conflict where the cracker traders only focus on their goals without conflict between traders. The results showed that in the pattern of business competition between traders in the silaberanti palembang city, there was indirect competition where in this case competition only took place between the parties, without trying to get rid of the opponent and the main priority was the goal, not the opponent.
