Abstract

Peatland productivity is strongly influenced by integrated and comprehensive peatland management. The role of spores in increasing plant growth is through increased absorption of P and other nutrients, as well as tolerance to water shortage conditions. The Available-P value is influenced by several factors, one of which is the presence of mycorrhizal spores. This research used simple linear regression analysis methods and the Available-P correlation test with mycorrhizal spores in peatlands to determine the effect of Available-P values on mycorrhizal spore distribution. The purpose of this research was to map the distribution of Available-P and interpret the correlation between the value of Available-P and the distribution of mycorrhizal spores on peatlands. This research will be carried out from January 2023 to April 2023 at UPTB Kebun Raya Sriwijaya, Bakung Village, North Indralaya. This research used a simple linear regression analysis method and the Available-P correlation test with mycorrhizal spores in peatlands to determine the effect of Available-P values on the distribution of mycorrhizal spores. In the distribution of Available-P content at the research site, there are available-P values that vary from very low to high, with values ranging from 4.64 to 30.70 ppm. The results of the regression and correlation tests showed that the correlation value between spores and soil Available-P was included in the strong category (0.63) with a coefficient of determination value of 0.41, which means mycorrhizal spores affect the Available-P value by 41% and the rest is influenced by other factors. This suggests that any increase in spore density is influenced by the Available-P content in the soil. Any decrease in the Available-P value will be followed by an increase in spore density.
