Abstract

The Betung-Sekayu route is an active route used by private, commercial, and supplies transportation. Increasement in motorized vehicles will in tum increase the emission of CO2. To decrease CO2 emission, users of private transportation made should be diverted to commercial ones such as buses. This research is meant to analyze the C02 emission until 2030 and to degradation the emission using modal split model. The emission of CO2 is analyzed with Kaya Decomposition Analysis Method or known as Kaya Method. The analysis is based on the quantity and the type of transportation model which are categorized by fuel economy, fuel type, and the passengers held by the mode. The research showed the emission of CO2 on the Betung-Sekayu route in 2012 reached to 77.483,92 ton. Though modal split degradation, the emission became 76.250,77 ton. This shows a decreasement of emission of 1.233,15 ton. It is predicted that in 2030, the C02 emission will be 186.474,29 ton. If degradation applied, the emission will become 183.506,56 ton , with a decreasement of 2.967,74 ton.
