Abstract

PT. BIMA PUTRA ABADI CITRANUSA (BPAC) IS A COMPANY ENGAGED IN THE MINING SECTOR WITH AN AREA OF 286 HECTARES OF IUP EXPLORATION. IN MARCH 2022 THE COAL PRODUCTION TARGET AT PIT 1 LUBUK BETUNG WAS 220,000 TONS, WHILE ONLY 181,768.80 TONS WERE REALIZED WITH A PRODUCTION ACHIEVEMENT OF 83% OF THE TARGETED PRODUCTION TARGET. THIS RESEARCH AIMS TO STRIVE FOR BETTER AND MORE EFFICIENT MINING ACTIVITIES SO THAT THE USE OF HOUR METERS IS BETTER. MINING ACTIVITIES ARE CARRIED OUT USING 1 EXCAVATOR AND 30 DUMP TRUCKS WITH 3 DIFFERENT TYPES. IN EACH MECHANICAL DEVICE UNIT THERE IS AN HOUR METER INSTALLED WITH THE AIM OF MONITORING AND RECORDING THE TIME OF MECHANICAL DEVICE ACTIVITY IN THE FIELD. IN BRICK MINING ACTIVITIES, THERE ARE OBSTACLES THAT MAKE THE USE OF HOUR METERS AND TOTAL PRODUCTION NOT REACH THE TARGET OF THE COMPANY. AFTER REPAIRING THE DELAY TIME, COAL PRODUCTION WHICH WAS PREVIOUSLY 181,768.80 TONS INCREASED TO 205,524.83 TONS. THE TOTAL INCREASE WAS 23,756.03 TONS OF COAL WITH A PRODUCTION LEVEL OF 92%. WITH THE INCREASE IN TOTAL PRODUCTION, THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING THE HOUR METER HAS ALSO INCREASED FROM ONLY 57% TO 72%. THIS INCREASE GREATLY AFFECTED THE PROFITS OF THE COMPANY WHICH HAD INVESTED ITS ASSETS IN AN HOUR METER TOOL TO MONITOR THE COMPANY'S MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT IN CARRYING OUT MINING ACTIVITIES.
