Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe the current condition of rubber farmers in implementing Good Agriculture Practices in Tanjung Bulan Village, Rambang Kuang District, Ilir Regency,(2) Knowing what factors influence farmers' rubber production in Tanjung Bulan Village, Rambang Kuang District, Ilir Regency (3)Evaluating that rubber farming is efficient in farming activities.This research was conducted in Tanjung Bulan Village, Rambangkuang District, Ogan Ilir RegencyResearch methods that. used is the survey method. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method with 35 rubber farmer respondents.The data used are primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that rubber farming in Tanjung Bulan Village, Rambangkuang Subdistrict, has sufficiently implemented Good Agriculture Practices starting from land preparation, planting, maintenance to harvesting. The production factors that affect the productivity of rubber farming in Tanjung Bulan Village are the number of seeds and hebicides while land area has no significant effect on the production factors of rubber farming in Tanjung Bulan Village. input efficiency for rubber farming production in Tanjung Bulan Village is allocative efficient and needs to be reduced in use in order to obtain maximum benefits, namely herbicides, while production factors that are not yet efficient need to be added in order to obtain maximum benefits, namely land area and number of seeds. The technical efficiency of factors affecting rubber production lies in the principle of increasing returns to scale, meaning that the proportion of additional factors of production will result in additional rubber production with a larger proportion.

Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling dengan responden petani karet sebanyak 35 orang. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa usahatani karet di Desa Tanjung Bulan Kecamatan Rambangkuang sudah cukup menerapkan Good Agriculture Practices mulai dari persiapan lahan, penanaman, pemeliharaan hingga pemanenan. Faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi produktivitas usahatani karet di Desa Tanjung Bulan adalah jumlah bibit dan hebisida sedangkan luas lahan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap faktor produksi usahatani karet di Desa Tanjung Bulan. efisiensi input produksi usahatani karet di Desa Tanjung Bulan bersifat efisien alokatif dan perlu dikurangi penggunaannya agar diperoleh keuntungan yang maksimal yaitu herbisida, sedangkan faktor produksi yang belum efisien perlu ditambahkan agar diperoleh keuntungan yang maksimal yaitu luas lahan dan jumlah benih. Efisiensi teknis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi karet terletak pada prinsip skala hasil yang meningkat, artinya proporsi penambahan faktor produksi akan menghasilkan tambahan produksi karet dengan proporsi yang lebih besar
