Abstract

Measuring students' understanding of concepts is an important thing to see their ability to understand the material that has been taught by the teacher especially physics material. This research was conducted to determine the percentage of students' conceptual understanding at SMA 2 PGRI Palembang on magnetic field material. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The data was obtained from the results of the analysis of the concept understanding test in class XII IPA 1 students as many as 33 students using 20 instrument questions MCS equipped with CRI. The understanding of the concept of the magnetic field of students in the concept understanding category was very low at 7.5%, most students were unable to answer correctly and the reasons answered were wrong and the level of confidence of students was low. the largest percentage occurs in the category of not knowing the concept. The low percentage of students' understanding of the concept of magnetic field material shows that class XII IPA 1 students really do not understand the material being taught.
