Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the process of assisting children at Social House of Marsudi Putra Dharmapala in Indralaya. The subjects in this study were 2 nursing counselors and 4 assisted citizens who were doing the mentoring process. The methods of collecting the data used in this research were interview, observation and documentation. The technic of data analysis was done by using descriptive qualitative. The process of assisting the sociopathic children at social house of Marsudi Putra Dharamapala in Indralaya covered the stage of orientation, the stage of assessment, the stage of doing activities, and the stage of termination. Moreover, the teaching materials taught were mental and religious guidances, social counseling, skills guidance, and extracurricular guidance. The services provided were food clothing services such as school / learning needs, daily food and clothes. The result of this research could be concluded that the process of assisting the sociopathic children at social house of Marsudi Putra Dharmapala in Indralaya Social Institution was good enough because in the process of assisting the assisted citizens, they did an individual approach so that the assissted citizens felt better and comfortable to stay in the orphanage during the social rehabilitation process.
