Abstract

This research is entitled "The Development of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) in Ogan Ilir Regency in 2015-2019 (Contribution of Local History Course Material). The formulation of the problem in this research is how the development of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) in Ogan Ilir Regency in 2015-2019 and what is the role of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) in advancing sports in Ogan Ilir Regency. The method used in this study uses the historical method. Historical or historical steps are divided into four steps, namely huristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography, and researchers use geographical, anthropological, sociological, and political approaches, while data collection techniques use literature studies and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the establishment of sports organizations, especially in the Ogan Ilir Regency area, is based on the community's interest in exercising. This is supported by the Ogan Ilir Regency Regional Regulation Number 9 of 2014 concerning Sports Development and Development where the local government has the right to direct, guide, assist, supervise and finance the implementation of sports in accordance with statutory regulations.
