Abstract

This reesearh is based on the existence of problems concering to the performance experienced by BPD in Terusan Village Sanga Desa District Musi Banyuasin Regency, such as; BPD is active in performing its function, supervision of the implementation of village development has not been effective, lack of communication and coordination between BPD with the Head Village and Bpd less organised a meeting with public. This research used the theory according to Dwiyanto with foemulated into several parameters consisting of 5indicators namely productivity, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility and accountability. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. Data collection is by interview. The data analysis using a qualitative descriptive method carried out throught three stages, namely Data Reduction, Data Display and verification. The results of the study show that BPD performance has shown good results. The researcher’s suggestion in this study is that ini carrying out its functions the BPD is more active for the sake of achieving the welfare of the village community, the supervision of development implementation needs to be increased bay making a routine monitoring schwdule for the implementation of development, the BPD is increasing communication and coordination with the village head so that good relations are established and the BPD is expected to be able to channel community aspirarions by holding meetings with the community.
