Abstract

Okami fitness Palembang is a fitness center in the city of Palembang. The name Okami itself comes from Japanese which means wolf, but there is another meaning which means it is enormous, said Karim as the owner of Okami Fitness. The existence of an emergency response plan in the form of life-saving facilities and emergency response procedures in the event of a fire can prevent casualties. This study aims to design an Emergency Response Plan at Okami Fitness Palembang. This research design is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data obtained through in-depth interviews and observation. The total informants in this study were 8 people.This study aims to calculate the evacuation time based on the 2002 SPFE 3rd Handbook of Fire Protection Engineering and to analyze the emergency response plan in accordance with SNI 03-1746-2000, SNI 03-1745-2000, SNI 03-6574-2001, Minister of Public Works Regulation No. . 20 of 2009 and NFPA 101. The results showed that the door facilities complied with the requirements according to SNI 03-1746-2000 and the number of existing doors did not meet the required door requirements, exit stairs did not meet the requirements of SNI 03- 1746-2000,there was no exit route, there is no exit sign, there is no gathering point,there is no written policy regarding emergency response procedures, and the time needed to evacuate to the gathering point is 2.1 minutes which meets the standard evacuation time according to NFPA 101. It is recommended that the authorities make emergency response procedures in writing or in the form of pictures, provide socialization regarding emergency response procedures to workers and visitors,complete emergency response facilities that have not been fulfilled such as exits, exit routes, exit signs, and assembly point signs.
