Abstract
Landslides problems in Indonesia are generally caused by topography, precipitation and geological conditions. Landslides generally occur when ihe soil is not able to withstand the weight of the soil layers above it due to the additional load on the surface of the slope and reduced power tie between grains of soil. Soil conditions at a site sometimes is not always flat, eg on very steep slopes that require cutting and stockpiling (cut & fiil) so that an accurate analysis is reqnired in order to obtain a steady slope construction (in accordance with security requirements). To obtain a minimum value of the safety factor of a slope stability analysis requires a process of trial and error. In this case, the analysis with the help of a Computer program is very helpful in the process of analysis of the minimum safety factor value. With the program SLOPE f W, the process of trial and error can be obtaint quickly to get the minimum safety factor value.
