Abstract

This research is entitled Management of Windstorm Disaster Management by the Regional Disaster Management Agency of the East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The background in the selection of this title is to see how Management is carried out by BPBD in the process of cyclone disaster relief in East OKU. The type of research used in this study is descriptive research that uses qualitative research methods. The type of data used is the type of primary data and secondary data. While the technique of data collection is done by conducting observations, in-depth interviews and documentation. The theory used in this research is management theory proposed by G.R. Terry which consists of Planning, Organizing, Implementation and Supervision. The findings of the results of the research that have been conducted have shown that the management of the tornado disaster carried out by the BPBD of OKU Timur Regency is quite good. The problem that still occurs in the process of cyclone disaster management is that the location of the disaster occurred far away and the information received was hampered. Therefore this research is expected to be a reference for the East OKU BPBD to improve the quality in the process of managing tornado disasters to be better than before.
