Abstract
Post-infection effects that can still be felt for a certain period of time have a negative impact on the physical endurance of survivors. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of physical activity and the physical endurance of Covid-19 survivors in Medan City. The population was recruited through medical record data of Covid-19 patients at Dr. Komang Makes Belawan Navy Hospital with a sample of 164 samples selected using purposive sampling. This study used a cross sectional study design with the risk factor model multiple logistic regression analysis method. Data were collected using a questionnaire sheet consisting of several variables studied. A total of 92 (56.1%) respondents were found to have poor physical endurance. Statistically the results showed a relationship between the level of physical activity (p=0.006. PR=1.688), age (p=0.008, PR=1.546), gender (p=0.024. PR=1.406), comorbid status (p=0.002. PR=1.575), nutritional status (p=0.021. PR=1.407) to physical endurance. Meanwhile, th employment status variable (p=0.427. PR=1.142) and vaccination status variable (p=0.146. PR=1.250) showed no relationship with physical endurance. Age was found to be a cofounding variable in the multivariate analysis. It is recommended to maximize the program launched and intervene for practitioners such as physiotherapists to address the low physical resilience of Covid-19 survivors.
