Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the effect of work-life balance and interpersonal communication on job satisfaction through organizational commitment as a mediating variable. The data collection technique used a questionnaire to 91 respondents, all employees of the Palembang City Tourism Office. Work-life balance and interpersonal communication as independent variables, while job satisfaction as the depent variable and organizational commitment as a mediating variable. The statistical test tool used in data processing was the SmartPLS program with the Structural Equation Model (SEM-PLS) method. The results of this stufy indicate that work life balance and interpersonal communication do not have a direct effect on job satisfaction. Organizational commitment cannot mediate the effect of work life balance anad interpersonal on job satisfaction, while organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. The results of this study contribute to the relationship between variables including work life balance and interpersonal communication on job satisfaction through organizational commitment which has not been researched too much.
