Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of mandatory spending on education, mandatory spending on health and economic growth on the fiscal space of the Sumbagsel Province in 2001-2021. The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of panel data from 2001-2021, the sources of which come from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (DJPK). In this study, a quantitative approach was used with panel data regression analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the variable mandatory spending on education has a positive and significant effect on the variable fiscal space because by increasing APBD spending it will suppress fiscal space. to the fiscal space variable because the increase in the regular health budget illustrates the government's focus on building health resilience more broadly as productivity in the long run, and the economic growth variable has a positive but not significant effect on the fiscal space variable because the economic growth of the Sumbagsel Province has an average relatively small and showing an unfavorable growth trend, the available fiscal space is quite large.
