Abstract
The occurrence of rain can hamper human activities, hence the need to predict rainfall events to anticipate the possibility of bad things that will happen. Prediction of rain events is useful in various fields such as transportation, agriculture and industry. In this study using the fuzzy random forest method which is a combination of fuzzy sets and random forest, this method produces good prediction values. This study aims to predict rain events using the fuzzy random forest method. The weather dataset used comes from Australia sourced from the Kaggle website which totals 145460 data consisting of 22 variables. Prediction of rain events using the fuzzy random forest method produces an average accuracy measure of 82.34% which is categorized as good, precision of 70.05% which is categorized as poor, recall of 37.10% which is categorized as failed and fscore of 48.51% which is categorized as failed.
