Abstract

Regional border conflicts between cities and regencies often become complex issues that affect people's lives and development in related areas. This study aims to analyze the policies implemented in handling regional border conflicts between Palembang City and Muara Enim Regency in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach with policy analysis methods to gather information from various sources regarding existing policies and regulations in dealing with regional border conflicts. Data was collected through interviews with government officials, stakeholders and residents in the relevant areas, as well as through documentation studies that included regulations, government reports and related literature. The results of the analysis show that the regional border conflicts between Palembang City and Muara Enim Regency are caused by differences in administrative and resource claims in the areas. Policies that have been implemented by the local government in handling this conflict include forming a conflict resolution team, dialogue between related parties, and efforts to find solutions together. This research contributes to understanding the problems of regional border conflicts and efforts to handle them through policy analysis. The research results can be used as a reference for local governments and other stakeholders in developing strategies that are more effective in dealing with regional border conflicts in various geographical and social contexts
