Abstract
This study aims to determine the types of Phytoplankton in Ranau Lake regency OKU Selatan. This research was conducted at Ranau Lake and the FKIP UNSRI Biology Education Laboratory in March-May 2023. This study used a descriptive method to describe the types of phytoplankton by taking samples using a purposive sampling technique and direct observation with 4 points of phytoplankton sampling stations. Physical and chemical parameters measured include temperature, current velocity, brightness, dissolved solids, pH, dissolved oxygen content, BOD and COD. Based on the research results obtained, it can be concluded that there are 17 species of phytoplankton found in Lake Ranau and a total of 2151 individuals, that is: Oscillatoria sp., Closterium sp., Nitzschia sp., Cosmarium sp., Flagilaria sp., Merismopedia sp., Nostoc sp., Aphanocapsa sp., Polycytis sp., Cyclotella sp., Coelastrum sp., Synedra sp., Bacillaria sp., Achnanthes lanceolate, Pediastrum sp., Spyrogyra p., Mougeotia sp. The most common individual found was Oscillatoria sp. totaling 1087 individuals. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as a learning resource for class X high school students in Biology learning with Basic Competency (BC) 3.11 Analyzing data on environmental change, its causes and impacts on life.
