Abstract

The Covid-19 virus first entered Indonesia in March 2020. In Indonesia itself, there are still positive confirmed cases to date. The government's effort to break the chain of transmission of the Covid-19 virus is the administration of the Covid-19 vaccine. Vaccines are an effective and easy way to prevent disease transmission. This research was conducted to describe the acceptance of the Covid-19 vaccination in female adolescents. This study uses a qualitative research study design with a case study approach and the method of collecting data is in the form of in-depth interviews. With purposive sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that all young women and their parents in Kelurahan 20 Ilir Region III already have knowledge of the dangers of Covid-19 so they feel vulnerable to Covid-19. This encourages young girls to accept vaccines. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the construct of the health belief model consisting of perceived security, perceived threats, perceived benefits, perceived obstacles and cues to act are related to receiving Covid-19 vaccination in young girls in 20 Ilir Subdistrict, Region III. With high perceptions of vulnerability, perceived threats, perceived benefits encourage action to accept vaccines. The very low barriers also make it easier for teenagers to take action to receive vaccines. In addition, the role of the family in providing information about vaccinations and granting permission to do vaccines also encourages adolescents to take part in the vaccination programs that are held. Do not forget that the puskesmas, which have collaborated with the school, have also contributed to the success of the government's Covid-19 vaccination program.
