Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-compassion and happiness in working sandwich generations. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a relationship between self-compassion and happiness in working sandwich generations. The participants in this study were 134 working sandwich generations.The sampling techniquein this study is using purposive sampling. The happiness variable was measured using a scale compiled by researchers referring to aspects of Seligman (2005). The measurement of self-compassion variable used a scale compiled by researchers based on components of Neff (2003). Data analysis completed by using the Pearson’s Product Moment correlation technique. The result of the correlation analysis showed that the significance value of self￾compassion and happiness was 0.000 (p<0.05) with a value of r = 0.800 which means that there is a signigicant positive relationship. Thus, the hypothesis proposed in this study can be accepted.
