Abstract
This research aims to determine the diversity of grasshopper species found in the cassava agroecosystem in North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. This research was conducted from October 2022 to July 2023. The method used in this research is a direct survey method in the field by direct collection, and the sampling technique is carried out by tracing 3 predetermined stations and then observing and capturing grasshopper species directly. with insect net. The data obtained was identified and then analyzed descriptively. The research results showed that the total grasshopper species found were 177 belonging to 5 families and 10 species. The species found include Oxya yezoensis, Dissosteira carolina, Acrida cinerea, Locusta migratoria, Callptamus italicus, Spathosternum pygmaeum, Phaneroptera falcata, Atractomorpha crenulata, Mantis religiosa, and Tetrix undulata.. The diversity index for grasshopper species found in the cassava agroecosystem is at station one H'= 1.26562, at station two H'= 1.84448, and at station three H'= 1.52629, all three stations in the cassava agroecosystem in Indralaya are classified as low and medium.
