Abstract

This research was carried out in the Mekarsari and surrounding areas, with a fairly high level of landslide susceptibility according to the fairly high level of ground movement susceptibility (BPS Cianjur Regency, 2022). The potential hazard area and hazard class in the research area is approximately 3,566 Ha and the hazard class is in the High category. Observations at the landslide research location in Mekarsari Village used undisturbed soil analysis by testing water content analysis, soil weight analysis, atterberg limit analysis and soil shear strength analysis. This research uses the creation of landslide susceptibility maps based on several parameters from the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index and Relief Diversity, including the parameters bifurcation index, ruggedness index, basin relief, relative relief, relief ratio, dissection index, slope in degree and lineament density. This data collection is correlated with the results of soil analysis and also parameter results to become a standard for mitigating landslides in several research areas. Based on the results of research, landslide susceptibility has 5 levels of vulnerability including very low (Very Low) with an index value of 1,050 – 2,100, low (Low) index value 2,100 – 2,758, moderate (Moderately) index value 2,758 – 3,502, high (High) index value 3,502 – 4,233, very high (Very High) index value 4,233 – 5,375. This research revealed significant results that the research location has a High - Very High potential for landslides. With several mitigation recommendations in each research area such as, Soil Nailing, Terracing and LEWS (Landslide Early Warning System. The results of this research are in accordance with the results of data correlation which has become the main variable of this research. Landslides are the main study in overcoming the problem of landslide vulnerability, as well as efforts to prevent landslides in the Mekarsari village community and its surroundings, in accordance with the recommended mitigation results in accordance with the level of landslide vulnerability in the research area.
