Abstract

Hilangnya tempat untuk mengenalkan dan tempat pusat edukasi mengenai warisan budaya Telcstil Sumatera Selatan membuat kurangnya pengetahuan masyaralrat mengenai warisan budaya Sumatera Se/atan terutama pada warisan Telcstil. Sehingga muncul /ah gagasan untuk mengadakan kemba/i wadah untuk mengenallran Telcstil dari Sumatera Selatan. Meseum Tekstil sebagai Pengenalan dan sebagai P11sat Edukasi mengenai Tekstil khas Sumatera Selatan. Dengan adanya Meseum Tekstil yang dikelo/ai bersama pemerintah kola don ditujulran kepada pengunjung sebagai media Pengenalan, informasi, atraktif, dan Pusat Edukasi Telcstil Sumatera Selatan yang ada di kota Palembang dengan pendekatan Kontekstual terhadap lcawasan dan mampu mempresentatifkan Tekstil Sumatera Selatan di kota Palembang.
