Abstract

PT Bukit Asam, Tbk is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) engaged in coal mining activities. The Mining Business License (IUP) owned by PT Bukit Asam Thk is located in Tanjung Enim, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province. The mining area of PT Bukit Asam Tbk, especially the Tanjung Enim Mining Unit is divided into three locations namely, the Air Laya Mine (TAL). Muara Tiga Besar (MTB), and West Banko. In an effort to achieve productivity in coal mining, inspection of the quality of the tools to be used, good care and maintenance is needed so that the tools can continue to work productively and effectively, besides that, relevant costs are also needed so that production remains under good control. Where in September, the company planned for overburden stripping activities of 516,938 BCM, while the realization in the field onlyachieved 485,210 BCM. In October, the company planned an overburden stripping activityof 595,247 BCM, while the realization in the field was only around 532,690 BCM. The limitations of the problem in this study only limit productivity with coal production targets and equipment requirements based on production and productivity targets as well as the cost of excavating and transporting coal at Muara Tiga Besar Utara PT Bukit Asam, Tbk Tanjung Enim. The tools used are the Komatsu PC 400 backhoe excavator with a capacityof 2.8-3.2 m3 and the Hino 500 FM 320 TI dump truck with a vessel capacity of 32.4 m³and the average coal hauling distance from the front to the coal stockpile is 2000 meters. The productivity value for excavators is 284.11 tons/hour and the productivity value for dump trucks is 33.60 tons/hour. Based on the production target and equipment productivity, 4 units of excavators and 29 units of dump trucks are needed. Factors that affect the efficiency of production work include work discipline factors, machine maintenance obstacle factors and weather resistance factors, with the planned work discipline factor being 55 minutes and the actual value being 215 minutes, the machine maintenance factor which lasts 12 minutes per day, and resistance to weather conditions is 71 minutes per day The cost for digging is IDR 3,841.70/ton according to equipment needs, transportation costs IDR 9,460/ton according to equipment needs, and the total cost is IDR 13,301.7/ton
