Abstract

The purposes of this research were to (1) Describe the utilization of production factors in doing sweet corn farming in Tanjung Seteko Village Inderalaya Sub-district Ogan Ilir Regency (2) analyze of sweet corn farming income in Tanjung Seteko Village Inderalaya Sub-district Ogan Ilir Regency. (3) analyze what factors influence the production of sweet corn in Tanjung Seteko Village Inderalaya Sub-district Ogan Ilir Regency. This research was conducted in Tanjung Seteko Village, Inderalaya Sub-district, Ogan Ilir Regency. The data was collected on April 2018. This research use a survey method, and sampling method used simple random sampling. The data used primary and secondary data. Primary and secondary data were collected and analyzed using Cobb-Douglas production function analysis to determine the relation between variables studied. The results of the study indicate that the use of land area, insecticides, and farming tools on sweet corn has been able to be utilized by farmers as recommended. While seeds, fertilizers, and herbicides assessed can not be utilized by farmers well. The average income of sweet corn farm respondents in Tanjung Seteko Village is Rp. 10,343,542.89 per cultivated area per year or Rp. 13,360,132.65 per hectare per year. Factors variable of land area, seed, fertilizer, and pesticide simultaneously and persial have real effect. H0 is rejected and H1 accepted.
