Abstract
The protracted conflict between Palestine and Israel has indirectly been the cause for the occurrence of attacks on medical personnel and medical facilities in a large amount. The 1949 Geneva Conventions and the 1977 Additional Protocol, as well as the provisions of customary humanitarian law, have provided protection to medical personnel serving in conflict zones. The minimum standard in the form of the use of the Red Cross, Red Crescent, etc. as a symbol of protection has also been given. However, violations of these rules, in the form of attacks on medical personnel and medical facilities in conflict zones still occur. This study was made to analyze the protection and minimum standards that apply to medical personnel in armed conflicts between Palestine and Israel in terms of aspects of international humanitarian law. The research method used by the writer is normative legal research, or library legal research, namely research conducted by examining library materials or legal material. In this research was found that out of the many attacks that occurred, showed that medical personnel in Palestine did not get their rights which were respected and protected properly. Where these attacks have resulted in infinite physical suffering, and often result in the loss of the lives of medical personnel.
